Cappadocia Getaway (2 Nights)

Cappadocia is a region located in the center of Turkey on nearly 10,000 km2 with superb and unusual landscapes. The volcanoes Erciyes, Hassan and Göllüdağ sculpted these wonderful landscapes millions of years ago (Upper Miocene period ten million years ago to Pliocene II two million years ago) the volcanic ash which agglomerated hardened and formed a soft and crumbly rock tuff. With the effects of erosion, water, wind, frost etc. rocky peaks, fairy chimneys are created.

The region was inhabited by the Hittites, the Romans and the early Christian Byzantines who left behind many remains, especially the rock churches. The underground cities are exceptional, blending in harmoniously with the landscape of the region. It is truly a splendid region to see.

1. Day: Flight to CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast. After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Cappadocia. Welcome at Kayseri airport and continue to explore this exceptional region; visit the Göreme Valley, as well as the Byzantine rock churches, stop in the troglodyte villages of Uçhisar and Ortahisar; lunch during the visit. Dinner and overnight stay.
 

2. Day: CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast, continuing the discovery of the region. Visit the underground city; the place of refuge for the local inhabitants during the period of invasions. Visit the village of Avanos on the banks of the Kızılırmak River then visit a carpet weaving center and a center of jewelry with semi-precious stones. Lunch en route and stops at panoramic viewpoints. Dinner and overnight stay.

3. Day: Flight KAYSERİ / İSTANBUL

Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Kayseri Airport. Assistance with departure formalities and flight to Istanbul to connect with your international flight or continue your stay in Istanbul.
